High-stakes leadership and performance should not feel like survival.
Dr. Dee Ann Schnautz provides mental performance coaching for educational leaders and Western athletes who want to stay steady under pressure, think clearly, and move forward with greater confidence and purpose.
With years of experience coaching principals, teachers, and leaders, along with ICF-aligned coaching training through the Western Integrity Coaching Academy, Dee brings a practical, supportive, and real-life approach to coaching.
This coaching is especially designed for:
principals and assistant principals
teacher leaders and instructional coaches
educators navigating leadership, change, pressure, or decision fatigue
Western athletes and rodeo competitors
riders returning to competition or working through confidence, consistency, or performance pressure
Many of the people Dee works with are capable, committed, and used to carrying a lot. On the outside, they may look like they are handling everything. On the inside, they may feel overwhelmed, mentally exhausted, stuck in overthinking, inconsistent in confidence, or emotionally stretched from the pressure they carry.
Coaching provides a confidential, structured space to slow down, reflect honestly, think clearly, and develop practical tools for real-life leadership and performance.
What We May Work On
Together, we may focus on:
mental performance
confidence under pressure
decision-making
emotional regulation
overthinking and self-doubt
leadership clarity
communication and boundaries
preparation, focus, and follow-through
consistency in the roles and responsibilities that matter most
steady growth in leadership, riding, competition, or performance
This is not one-size-fits-all coaching. Your coaching experience is shaped around your goals, your pressure points, and the real-life situations you are navigating.
Coaching for Educational Leaders
Educational leadership can be deeply meaningful and deeply demanding.
Principals, assistant principals, teacher leaders, and instructional coaches are often expected to support everyone else while also making decisions, managing pressure, building trust, navigating conflict, and leading through change.
Mental performance coaching gives educational leaders space to pause, think clearly, and develop practical strategies for the real challenges they face.
Coaching may support educational leaders who want to:
lead with greater clarity and confidence
reduce overthinking and second-guessing
make decisions with more steadiness
strengthen communication and boundaries
navigate pressure, change, or conflict
stay grounded while supporting staff, students, and families
build sustainable leadership habits that do not feel like survival
Coaching for Western Athletes
Western athletes know pressure.
Whether you are competing, returning after an injury, rebuilding confidence, moving up a level, or trying to stay consistent in the arena, performance is not only physical. It is mental, emotional, and relational.
Mental performance coaching helps Western athletes slow down, notice patterns, strengthen confidence, and develop tools they can use before, during, and after competition.
Coaching may support Western athletes who want to:
build confidence under pressure
manage nerves, fear, or frustration
recover mentally after a hard run, mistake, injury, or setback
improve focus and preparation
stop overthinking before competing
develop a steadier performance mindset
ride, compete, and grow with more clarity and purpose

Wonderful Experience with Mrs. Dee
I truly enjoyed my time working with Mrs. Dee! After tearing my ACL during my senior year of high school, I wanted our sessions to help me rebuild my confidence and feel mentally stronger throughout my recovery. From the very beginning, Mrs. Dee made me feel comfortable supported, and genuinely heard. She is incredibly kind, and I immediately felt a sense of relief knowing I could openly share what I was going through.
Each session started with checking in on how I was feeling that week and discussing whatever was on my mind at the time. Every week looked a little different, but no matter the topic, Mrs. Dee always provided thoughtful guidance and encouragement. She consistently reminded me that I could reach out outside of our scheduled sessions, and she would even check in to see how my runs were going and how I was doing overall. That level of care and support meant so much to me.
Mrs. Dee truly helped me grow stronger mentally and emotionally, and I’m so grateful for the positive impact she had on my recovery journey.
